Nirvana Use CV Show as Basis for UK Expansion
the SSD08 Steer provides an individual tread pattern for impressive extended traction control. In addition, the SSM10 offers a particularly rugged tread pattern which has been specially produced for the most aggressive driving conditions whilst the SSM07 pattern is perfectly suited for the All Position market sector with its special design for trailer applications. Firenza has also recently introduced three new TBR patterns – the STV55, STV06 and STV09 which are now available on an international basis having made their debut at the Tyrexpo Asia show in March.
Finally for the popular Super Single market, Firenza presents three different patterns – the SSR055A, SST066 and SSR065 with both the SSR055A and SST066 incorporating a solid shoulder construction for a higher level of reduction in early tread wear as well as a particularly hard tread rubber compound to ensure extensive mileage performance.
Meanwhile, Firenza has recently launched an all-new range of Urban Bus tyres which have been specially designed and produced for all-position buses. The Firenza SSU05 pattern includes a reinforced sidewall that guarantees a superior standard of protection against kerb damage whilst an extensively durable casing construction ensures several life cycles for the tyre. Also the SSU500 has a specifically designed tread pattern to give outstanding grip and mileage return. The Firenza SSU05 is currently available in size 275/70R22.5 and the SSU500 in size 305/70R22.5.
The Nirvana Tyres stand at the 2017 CV Show
Nirvana Tyres, a premium truck distributor from Hillsborough in Northern Ireland were one of several players exhibiting at the 2017 Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham at the end of April.
Nirvana, working out of Northern Ireland import tyres from China and additionally have a depot in New Romney in Kent. The company is aiming to supply directly to the end user and has a number of salesmen on the road to fulfil this. The company has a strong focus on R& D, having a dedicated Tyre Design & Development centre,
as well as an on- site quality control and testing facility. The company’s offerings are characterised by the Convoy range, which conform to EU regulations and are manufactured in a facility boasting ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. The shoulder construction of the range reduces heat generation improving the life of the tyre, which is supported by constant
improvements in rolling resistance and compounds in order to deliver improved fuel economy and increased mileage. Stephen Whitford from Nirvana Tyres explained that the company is performing well in Ireland with the haulage sector, and has some dealers in Northern Ireland who prefer to source their tyres locally. Regarding the future, Whitford says, “We want to draw more business in the UK market and that is why our presence at the CV show is a cornerstone of this strategy.”
