Bridgestone is celebrating a commercial coup after extending a fleet agreement with Arla Foods, which will take the relationship into a 10th consecutive year. The 13,500-strong dairy farmer cooperative will continue to benefit from Bridgestone’s tyre range and holistic Total Tyre Care offering, with a renewed deal now in place up until 2020.
Arla’s Inbound Logistics Director, Richard Wilson, said: “We have been really impressed with Bridgestone on a number of levels for some time now, so the decision to extend our agreement was an easy one for us to make. Not only are the products extremely reliable an impressive from a performance point of view, but the levels of aftercare and associated services are also right up there.”
Bridgestone’s commercial sales director Greg Ward said: “We have demonstrated real value to Arla by not only reducing call-outs through our support, but also offering fuel savings by way of our TPMS technology.”
Arla’s dairy products are delivered
across the length and breadth of the country to its portfolio of brands including Lurpak and Anchor. Supported by real-time monitoring and analysis of fleet performance, Bridgestone supplies Arla with the most cost efficient mix of new and retread tyres. These products, services and systems are delivered by the Bridgestone Partner network combined with the specialist Bandag retread network.
Arla’s maintenance teams are also supported by Bridgestone’s fleet managers who offer specialist advice and consultation. To maximise efficiencies and fleet uptime for customers, Arla and Bridgestone are committed to a process of continuous improvement. This includes on-site coaching and monthly performance reviews to identify and implement service improvements.
Greg added: “Discussions have been in place for some time now and we are delighted to have reached an agreement. We think it demonstrates longevity and offers an endorsement of our commercial fleet solutions.”
MC Rental Joins
the Bandvulc Stable
MC Rental Ltd has appointed Bandvulc as its national tyre supplier and administrator. The agreement sees Bandvulc Plus+ control all tyre related transactions through its 24/7 call facility in Devon. In conjunction with MC Rental, BVPlus+ will be expanding its service outlets to accommodate some of MC Rental’s exiting suppliers and will be utilising its national network of Key Partners across the UK. Tyre provision nationally is by Bandvulc and Continental, with all used tyres being returned to Devon for inspection, reuse and, finally, disposal.
For MC Rental Scott Cruickshank, Fleet Maintenance Manager, commented; “Bandvulc has a reputation for not only offering quality products and services but also for delivering on their
innovative and forward thinking solutions. It is this attitude and willingness combined with a very attractive commercial offering which enabled Bandvulc to be successful.
Like ourselves here at MC Rental, delivering a commitment is equally as important as the offer itself. Bandvulc’s ethos is very similar to and fits well with our own.”
Corby Goodall for Bandvulc added; “We are delighted to welcome MC Rental to our portfolio of clients. It is a prestigious operation and our specialised rental and contract division has worked hard to bespoke the offer to exceed expectation”.
