This year’s upcoming Commercial Vehicle Show will see The Tyre Equipment Company (TEC) return to the NEC showcasing a selection of commercial tyre changing tools and equipment from Ken-Tool, as well as other products from the TEC range. Ken-Tool, headquartered in Ohio, is a manufacturer of tyre service tools worldwide. It has been providing the tyre industr y and automotive aftermarket with products for over 90 years. Ken-Tool’s products were added to the TEC product range from 1st Januar y 2017, with TEC beginning to supply these

ContiPressureCheck, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), as a standalone system or with full telematics integration, has been further developed this year, with the roll-out of the group’s ContiYardReader TPMS system this summer. The ContiYardReader system will allow fleet managers to monitor tyre pressures automatically for all vehicles in the yard adding further accuracy to fleet maintenance and helping to prevent costly tyre breakdowns. The group will also highlight how it is further developing its operator services, including the growth of the highly developed Conti360o Fleet Services network as part of Continental’s ongoing commitment to providing exclusive all-round service to fleets. Services include the ContiFitmentService; ContiFleetCheck; ContiBreakdownService; ContiCasingManagement and ContiFleetReporting.
This national service programme now features over 100 Conti360° Fleet Service network partners across the UK & Ireland with over 400 service points with over 300 REACT trained technicians. The network offers national and regional fleet customers excellent national breakdown coverage and rapid response times averaging less than an hour with flexible packages tailored to the needs of the fleet, including tyre management advice.

The collaboration between the two companies means that customers can benefit from more choice when selecting bead breakers, wrenches and tyre levers and easy access to specialist Ken- Tool products such as the Blue Cobra Truck Tyre Demount Tool and the T54 Heavy-Duty Ratchet Action Tyre Spreader.
The Blue Cobra Truck Tyre Demount Tool allows the operator to quickly demount the majority of 22.5” tubeless truck tyres – up to a 13” wide wheel. It helps to reduce back injuries by allowing the demounting of the tyre without lifting the entire wheel and tyre off the ground. Ken-Tool’s range additionally has products like the Deluxe Blue Cobra Tubeless Truck Tyre Service

The union between the two companies further adds to TEC’s range of tyre service parts and equipment, which includes a selection of products from leading equipment manufacturers such as PCL and Schrader. As well as Ken-Tool, visitors can expect to see a wide array of tools from other leading manufacturers on the stand and the TEC team will be on hand to provide technical advice and assistance.
