innovative roller assembly against a vehicle’s wheel and turn the handle to commence operation. Using the assembly’s high friction surface, the high torque motors then rotate the vehicle’s wheels, moving it along

Continental Tyres has announced the launch of a new radial tyre in its Speciality range, the 300/80 R22.5 Conti Terminal Transport. Designed originally for use on terminal tractors used in port operations, this particular tyre has proved equally at home on
are put under considerable strain. High loads, tight manoeuvres and ver y abrasive concrete surfaces in the distribution yard lead to the tyres wearing much faster than in normal truck operations where road usage dominates. Continental Tyres’ new 300/80 R22.5 Conti Terminal Transport tyre has a number of performance
characteristics that make it ideal for these vehicles. Its enhanced load index, reinforced bead construction and ability to run at higher pressures means the tyre easily handles the high loads experienced in these operations. Its superior wear resistance is provided by its closed-shoulder design, which means it wears more evenly and is less susceptible to shouldering, as well as a particularly wear-resistant compound used in the tread. These features make for an excellent service life in distribution yard operations which can result in a 15-20 per cent saving over current market solutions.
Dunlop TreadMax Retread Range Extended
Goodyear Dunlop has added four new TreadMax mould cure retreads to its range of Dunlop branded commercial vehicle tyres. The retreads, processed in Goodyear’s own retreading facility, are in the Dunlop SP444, SP372 and SP472 lines and have been developed

The final member of the TreadMax line extension is the

EasiPush Gives CV Workshops a Helping Hand
Moving commercial vehicles inside a busy workshop environment is now easier and safer than ever following the launch of the new Hunter EasiPush, available exclusively in the UK from Pro-Align.
Originally developed to help workshops move commercial vehicles a short distance forward in order to carry out the important rolling compensation
check as part of the wheel alignment process, the innovative device is now available as a stand-alone tool to help operators manoeuvre vehicles in cramped workshops safely.
“EasiPush has already become quite a talking point among the few workshops who have seen it in action,” comments Brett Hickey, commercial vehicle specialist, Pro-Align. “While it was designed to assist in the Hunter commercial vehicle wheel alignment process, its versatility means that it can be of great assistance in many other situations as well.”
Powered by a rechargeable battery unit, operators using EasiPush simply place the unit’s
according to the company’s ‘Multiple Life Cycle’ approach. The company has extended its current line up with the Dunlop TreadMax SP444 in 315/60R22.5 and 295/60R22.5.
