New eJob App to Enhance Goodyear Truck Tyre Service
A brand new mobile app is being introduced by Goodyear to further increase the speed and quality of the service it offers to customers. The new eJob app
will allow service operatives to instantly record and receive information using mobile devices. In this way, information and photographs can be transmitted directly into the Goodyear
FleetOnlineSolutions (FOS) tyre management system and service data can be received by the technician.
The provision of tyre management services and Goodyear’s FleetOnlineSolutions, of which eJob is part, are essential to fleets. The digital innovation that this app brings makes tyre management faster and more accurate.
Through using a mobile device with the app data can be sent and received on the spot once the job is done. Also pictures of truck tyres can be taken of a tyre that needs to be replaced and comments added, giving the truck operator complete visibility of the
reason for the exchange or any work carried out. “The benefits in terms of speed and accuracy that the eJob app brings to our tyre management services are exceptional,” said Marc Preedy, Goodyear

Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) has launched the xlite ET45, a forged aluminium wheel designed specifically for three-axle, multi-functional, inloader semi- trailers.
Available in size 11.75" x 22.5", weighing 24.4kg and with a load capacity of 5,000kg, the 10 stud wheel has been specifically designed for glass transportation companies throughout Europe across both OE and replacement markets. The xlite ET45 is available in a machined finish.
John Ellis, managing director at MWSD, said: "There is very specific demand from a number of key
European trailer manufacturers and operators, all of whom
require several specific safety and performance
requirements for the unique operational nature of this particular industry.

design a forged aluminium product that

xlite wheels, which are five times stronger and 40 percent lighter than the standard steel equivalent, are forged from a single aluminium billet using a computerised numeric control machine to produce a higher degree of production accuracy. Wheels are available in 17.5, 19.5, 22.5 and 24.5 inch sizes.
The majority of xlite products are available in machined, polished and Xbrite finishes, the latter of which goes through several automated treatment stages which permeate the metal deeper to deliver a wheel with the highest levels of corrosion resistance and shine.
Marangoni Extends Ringtread Trailer Range
Marangoni Retreading Systems has announced the completion of its range of Ringtread trailer rings, with the introduction of the new RZ Fe 100 pattern. This new- generation product meets the
demands of an extremely selective market, thanks to its ability to combine high mileage and low fuel consumption. Indeed, the product name derives from this specific feature: Fe stands for fuel economy. The RZ Fe 100 profile has been designed to respond to the needs of users in the long-distance segment, travelling on motorways and highways and consequently with slow and regular tread wear; specifically, the pattern is ideal for intercity express coaches, drive axles on 6x2 units and twin trailer axles that require continuous high- speed operation.
