New Aligner Offers Entry-Level Opportunities
A new entry-level Hunter wheel alignment system has been launched in the form of the Hunter PA200, allowing more tyre shops to enjoy the financial, efficiency and customer service benefits that it offers. The new PA200 wheel alignment system is currently being marketed at an introductory price of £7,995 for a limited period.
The Hunter PA200 features a two camera system and uses the same imaging technology found on the company’s Elite TD system. The system is suitable for cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3 tonnes and offers an even more economically profitable wheel alignment solution.
Paul Beaurain, Managing Director of Pro-Align explained how the new PA200 is ideal for those workshops who might be starting out in wheel alignment but are searching for an accurate, entry-level, high quality four-wheel alignment system. “The system retains the core elements of our other award-winning Hunter
imaging alignment systems to deliver accuracy and customer service quality, but in addition, is tailored for those where low cost of investment and ownership is a primary concern.”
The PA200 makes use of Hunter’s HD targets to bring accurate 14- point alignment readings with results displayed in an easy to understand, colour coded ‘Hunter styled’ printout. Technicians are allowed to recall OEM vehicle specs from Hunter’s extensive vehicle system database. Also, the software includes a number of workshop software modules such as WinToe and step- by-step instructions, which aid and guide technicians regarding how to complete alignment jobs.
At this stage, the machine is available with either imaging or conventional sensors. The PA200 has the capacity to be progressively upgraded so that as wheel alignment business grows, the Hunter system can grow too, all the way to a full Elite TD specification.

The Commercial Director at Bandvulc Group, Phil West stated, “Bandvulc is keen to support this market sector as operators are more
than ever before needing best value, not best cost. We believe that at Bandvulc we can do just that by offering best value & control for serious operators.”

Retread Tyres
Vacu-Lug has added two new Logistik tyres namely the LD01 315/80R22.5 drive tyre and the LT01 385/65R22.5 trailer tyre. The range is intended to reduce rolling resistance and increase the KM potential for the operator and is manufactured for both regional and highway applications within the commercial vehicle transport sector. Simultaneously, the company is focusing is on maximising efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of its manufacturing processes.
Through Vacu-Lug’s ORBIT (optimised retreading built-in time) programme, it is continuing to invest substantially in the latest technologies and processes, as part of an attempt to improve efficiency. These consist of automated conveyer systems, LED lighting and twelve- segment, high-pressure tyre presses (to produce its Logistik drive range). All of these developments are aimed at improving
operational efficiency,
control of work-in-
progress and health
and safety.

alongside a selection of Duramold tyres, including the new 315/70R22.5 T100 drive. Regarding the reaction and the CV show, Vacu- Lug Sales Director Dave Alsop said that, “Clearly, there is still a strong demand for premium retread tyres in the HGV sector, as it would appear that some of the very cheap imports are not proving to be as cost-effective as expected.”
Alsop then moved onto retreading adding that, “retreading is a key part of the UK truck tyre industry with a significant proportion of replacement tyres sold being retreads. As such, we continually upgrade and invest in our manufacturing processes to ensure that Vacu-Lug remains at the leading edge of this important industry sector. This way, our customers can continue to use reliable retread tyres as part of a well- managed and cost-conscious fleet.”

Bandvulc’s Tip-Ex stand at the Harrogate International Centre this year intended to demonstrate their strong market credentials. This was achieved by taking their existing products to the show with some new additions to their specialist ranges. The BIG was featured for its durability and high resistance
characteristics, was joined by the new 315/80R22.5 BDY3. In a similar way to BIG the BDY3 has been designed for the tipper industry. However, it does have a more aggressive open pattern than the BIG and is more suited for the higher mileage tipper operations. This means that in some cases it may be
used on tractor units. Additionally, the BD08 and BT08 range for the tractor trailer combinations running high mileages were a part of Bandvulc’s stand this year.
Moreover, Bandvulc were able to reveal their latest solution for tanker fleets at the Tip-Ex & Tank-Ex show in the form of the Tankmaster. The Tankmaster a product suited to high volume loads is designed to lift shoulders in operation, has a high rubber content, which allows tight turning and a non- aggressive pattern design to flow with
