Apex Plant Group Benefits from Relationship with Vacu-Lug and Westlake Tyres

consumption.
The contract is supported by ATS Euromaster’s Hounslow centre, where staff and vehicles have airside clearance and experience of operating at Heathrow Airport. OmniServ provides passenger mobility, security and airport services at more than 100 airports worldwide, with Heathrow, Glasgow, and Manchester included among the 15 at which it operates within the UK.
Leicestershire-based Apex Plant Group is continuing to see the benefits of using Westlake Tyres, two years on from when Vacu- Lug first began supplying them with Westlake products.
Based in Cosby, Leicester, Apex Plant Group is one of the region’s leading equipment rental and specialist haulage companies. The company has become a familiar and highly recognisable brand within the construction and mobile equipment rental sectors across the country and has invested heavily in its hire and transport fleet to cater for its customer network.
As the sole UK distributor of Westlake tyres, Grantham retreading company, Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres, supplies tyres for Apex Plant’s fleet of vehicles.
To date, Apex Plant Group is delighted with the performance of Westlake’s tyres, and is continuing to see a positive result in terms of operating economy and efficiency.
Westlake tyres are characterised by their unique pattern designs, which offer the operator optimal handling performance, increased durability and excellent ride comfort. The products are cost- effective, as well as being produced to high environmental standards.
Apex Plant’s Managing Director, David Marriott, comments: “I am delighted with the consistent performance we have enjoyed since moving our fleet to a Westlake policy supported with Vaculug retread tyres. We have saved money whilst optimising the performance of our fleet and through improved tyre management”.
Westlake tyres span a wide variety of application types and are available in 17.5”, 19.5” and 22.5” rim diameters. They are suitable for drive, steer and trailer axles on light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles.
Pierre E. Cohade Appointed CEO of Triangle Tyre
Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd has announced the appointment of Pierre E. Cohade as Chief Executive Officer. Chairman Ding Yuhua stated “I am delighted to welcome Pierre as Triangle Tyre new CEO. Also, he will lead the modernisation of Triangle governance and management practices and policies, transforming Triangle from a leader in China to a global player.”
Cohade’s experience has reached across four continents and multiple industries. He first worked for Eastman Kodak for 17
years, where his last position was Chairman of Kodak operations in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia. In 2003, he joined Groupe Danone as President of the Danone Global Water and
Beverage business. In 2004 he was named president of Goodyear Asia Pacific. He led the fast expansion of Goodyear in that critical part of the world until 2011. He then became Senior Advisor of ChinaVest, WellsFargo’s investment bank affiliate in China.
ATS Euromaster Keeps Omniserv on the Move at Heathrow Airport
ATS Euromaster has been contracted to provide complete tyre care and support for all 28 buses operated by OmniServ, who provide transfer services between all Terminals at Europe’s busiest passenger airport.
Under the contract, ATS Euromaster will carry out a full range of tyre services to ensure operations run smoothly and
cost-effectively, including regular tyre checks, turning on the rim and complete tyre husbandry. To increase tyre life, OmniServ is also adopting a complete Michelin tyre policy.
Ian Mitchell, Transport and General Manager, OmniServ, says: “We transport more than 250,000 passengers a month, so we need as little downtime as possible. We’ve selected ATS
