Linglong Celebrates Commissioning of Thai TBR Factory
rapid and
efficient construction.
2) Advanced Equipment
The entire production line was said to be equipped with advanced equipment, such as imported cutting machines, one-step tyre building machines and hydraulic tyre curing presses. This equipment boasted a high level of accuracy, stability and automation.
3) Strong Management
The integration of information technology and industrialisation with advanced management methods, Applications and Products (SAP) systems and a Product Data Management
(PDM) system is claimed to have realised 100-per cent control of quality.
4) Meaningful Development
LLIT’S TBR production line is claimed to be the first overseas TBR
project of the Chinese tyre industry and that it has filled the gaps in the company’s TBR manufacturing facilities abroad. Under the new economic status, Linglong said it had responded to the ‘One Belt and One Road’ (OBAOR) development strategy aggressively by transforming and upgrading, and facilitating corporate
internationalisation.
The commissioning of the TBR project was seen not only as an important milestone in Linglong’s rapid development, but also as an improvement in the company’s competitive advantage. During the celebration, Linglong donated umbrellas to the students of Chonburi’s primary and secondary schools. Linglong also held its global partners conference to discuss strategic corporation in response to new economic trends. It was described as a fruitful discussion for all the participants as it had strengthened their confidence in Linglong and helped in laying the foundation for the company’s speedy development.
Chines tyre manufacturer Linglong celebrated its 40th anniversary recently as well as the full commissioning of Linglong International Thai (LLIT)’s Truck & Bus Radial Tyres (TBR) production line recently. Approximately 400 guests from around the world were invited to witness this milestone in the company’s growth and development in Rayong, Thailand. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was described as impressive: Wang Feng, President of Linglong; Fei Jian Hua of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand; Pornchai Tomkrajang, Chief Officer of Si Racha, Thailand and Chaiyos, Chairman of the Thai Automobile Tyre Manufactures Association, cut
LLIT’s production of semi-steel passenger car tyres in January 2014. With the great support from various industries, the commissioning of LLIT’s TBR production line has marked Linglong’s move towards a complete and rapid development level,” said Wang.
The entire investment programme, Wang continued, achieved the company’s four objectives;
1) Rapid Construction
The two-and-a-half years Linglong took, from laying down the foundation of LLIT to the full commissioning of its product lines, were said to show ‘Linglong’s speed’

During his speech, Wang said LLIT was Linglong’s first overseas manufacturing plant outside China. Built on a 121-acre site in the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, it was set up under the ‘3+3’ strategy outlined in early 2011, which was part of Linglong’s long- term plan to open three factories in China and three abroad.
“It has been about one-and-a-half years since the commissioning of
in the establishment
of an overseas manufacturing plant. The first stage of construction, which saw the building of the semi-steel passenger car tyre production line, took 11 months and 19 days, overcoming climate impact, cultural differences and construction material shortages to go full operation on 16th
January, 2014. After one-and-a-half years, the second stage of LLIT’s construction – the TBR tyre production line – was fully realised and put into operation, realising its
Bridgestone’s Dayton brand is aiming to shake up the budget truck tyre segment with a brand-new line-up of high quality and good value truck
tyres, available in the market
from September.
Promising “essential
performance at the best
price”, the Dayton truck tyre
range comes with the quality guarantee of the Bridgestone group. Better still, and unlike some of its direct competitors, the Dayton line- up of steer, drive and trailer tyres is retreadable, making them even better value for money over
the long run.
The new range
includes three
flagship tyres
for the truck
segment: the
D500S steer
tyre, the
D600D drive
tyre and the
D400T trailer
tyre.
The D500S Steer
tyre offers easy
manoeuvering and a low-noise tread,
while the tyre’s built-in stone ejectors and resistance to irregular wear add up to long tyre life.
Meanwhile, the D600D Drive tyre is designed to handle well in wet conditions, give drivers grip when they need it most and a safe, comfortable ride throughout. M+S and 3-Peaks Alpine markings guarantee all-season performance, even on snow.
Finally, the Dayton D400T Trailer
tyre aims to outrun the competition
in this segment. This free- rolling tyre meets the standard for durable performance with good
resistance to irregular wear and is suited for retreading.
Dayton D500S and D600D will be available as from September 2015 in size 315/80 R22.5, in
combination with the trailer tyre D400T in size 385/65 R22.5. The line-up will be extended as from February
2016 with the incorporation of D500S and D600D in sizes
295/80 R22.5 and 315/70 R22.5, covering most popular truck tyre
sizes.
