    Bridgestone Retains NR Evans

With Yearsley Logistics we have been conducting consistent trials to enable best policy throughout.” For each Bandvulc tyre used by Yearsley Logistics it saves the environment 68 litres of oil, 44kg of rubber and 182.24kg of CO2 compared with new tyres – when
you consider that the Yearsley Logistics fleet operates a policy of Bandvulc retread tyres on drive and trailer axles this represents significant environmental savings compared to new tyres. During 2012-13 this has amounted to savings of over 88,000 litres of oil, 57 tonnes of rubber compound and 235 tonnes of CO2.
Will adds, “In line with Yearsley Logistics’ commitment to sustainability, we are continually developing our CSER strategy. By enlisting Bandvulc, not only are we running safe, proven products that have a positive impact on the environment during the life of the tyre, but are also ensuring these are responsibly recycled afterwards.”
         Michelin X-Line Energy Tyres Slash Tyre Costs for Dixon International

The firm conducted a six month trial on six tractor units, three using Michelin 315/70 R 22.5 X Line Energy tyres, the others using the fleet’s existing premium tyre brand fitment. Tested on long-distance, high-speed European routes in keeping with Dixon International’s typical operations, the Michelin-fitted tractors averaged a 5.2 per cent saving in fuel.

Established in 1979, Dixon International is a family run business specialising in temperature controlled logistics serving the life science and food sector for national and international haulage throughout Europe.
  Bridgestone has announced that it has retained its account with one of the UK’s largest temperature controlled distribution fleets. NR Evans, which delivers more than £500 million worth of chilled product annually, has extended its 10 year relationship with Bridgestone for the foreseeable future.
A competitive tendering process allowed Bridgestone to underline
its unique Total Tyre Care package, which played a critical role in the company’s overall success.
NR Evans’ managing director Neil Evans said: “Millimetre for millimetre and pence per kilometre, Bridgestone offered an outstanding repair and breakdown service, which was too compelling to overlook.”
 Yearsley Extends with Bandvulc
Yearsley Logistics, the UK’s largest frozen logistics service provider, have extended their tyre management agreement with Bandvulc Group.
