Bridgestone Retain Ryder with New Five Year Contract

Bridgestone is celebrating a major commercial coup after renewing its largest fleet contract for a further five years. The brand’s ongoing relationship with Ryder, the UK’s leading provider of commercial vehicle rental, contract hire and maintenance solutions, has been
than 24,500 trucks and trailers. Bridgestone’s commercial sales director Greg Ward said talks had been ongoing for a number of months and revealed that 90 per cent of business will be centred in the UK, with a small proportion of work extending into Ireland and
Germany.
He said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be in a position to celebrate our extended fleet partnership with Ryder, whom we have built up a long- standing and unique partnership over the last 15years.
“To have signed a five year extension deal is a huge coup for
everyone at Bridgestone and we look forward to renewing existing relationships and building new ones in

Turners (Soham), one of the largest haulage companies in the UK, has signed a three-year-deal contract with Goodyear Dunlop tyres after being impressed with the fuel saving capabilities of its tyres.
The deal sees the family
company fit its 1000 vehicles
and 1400 trailers with KMax
and FuelMax new tyres as
well as Goodyear’s TreadMax retreads. Turners are also
taking full advantage of
Goodyear Dunlop’s dedicated TruckForce service to support
the businesses drive to reduce vehicle down times and
further enhance customer
service.
Commenting on the change, Group Fleet Engineer, Tim King said: “For our business, changing the service
provider was a decision that took much deliberation; we had been in partnership with our previous provider for over 20 years. Goodyear presented a bespoke package that
supplies us with innovative tyres that are set to reduce our spending on fuel without compromising in any other areas.”
