    PEOPLE   Hankook Tyre UK Announces Retirement of its Longest Serving Employee career in communications consultancy at Image 7. From 2015 to 2017, she was Executive Vice President, Marketing, Digital and Communication at Air France- KLM, and a member of the group's Executive Committee.  Hankook have announced the forthcoming retirement of former Sales Manager, Ian Mayoll. Following a long career in the industry, spanning 40 years, Ian, who for the past 3 years had held the title of Ian put this success down to the highly experienced professional staff employed by the company coupled with the solid customer base and of course, the product range itself. During his time with Hankook, Ian   WheelRight Makes Senior Appointments to Support Growth Plans WheelRight, the real-time tyre monitoring specialist, has appointed a raft of new senior management to help it meet the growing demand for its cloud- based services and to power the company’s continuing expansion globally. CEO John Catling has moved into the Executive Chairman role, replacing founder Michael Taylor who has become a non- executive director. Catling’s move makes way for Chris Butcher, who joins WheelRight as managing director. Chris has previous board level experience with the likes of Concentric AB plc, where as vice president he was responsible for the sales, marketing and application engineering of the global industrial manufacturer. His strong track record in the automotive OE field also includes this, he spent 20 years as head of investment bank Nomura’s automotive team. To further strengthen the business commercially, WheelRight has     Chris Butcher     Jeff Hilton                     positions with Britax, Eminox and Volex. Also joining the senior team is Michael Ward, who will sit on the WheelRight board, whilst retaining his role as head of corporate advisory, EMEA, at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to recruited Jeff Hilton as sales and marketing manager. Hilton joins from cleaning technology company Kärcher, where he was responsible for marketing, business development and providing specialist support in the transport, logistics and automotive markets. Commenting on his recent appointment, Chris Butcher, managing director of WheelRight, said: “WheelRight is an outstanding British company that provides a truly high-tech approach to an age-old, time-consuming problem of measuring tyre pressures and treads. With live sites across the UK, America and Europe, 2018 will be an extremely exciting year for us as we continue to revolutionise that way people think about tyre monitoring and management.”    Ian Mayoll Special Projects Manager, retired from Hankook Tyre UK on the 31st December 2017 after working for the company for 25 years. Ian was Hankook’s first UK employee back in 1990. In these early days Hankook Tire’s UK office consisted of just Ian and an expatriate from the company’s global headquarters in Seoul, South Korea operating out of a small office in London. During this time, Ian was responsible for establishing and developing a UK key dealer network and then in 1997 oversaw the opening of Hankook’s very first UK warehouse in Daventry, a stone’s throw from their current location. In 2002, the company experienced rapid growth and was widely recognised in the industry as the fastest growing tyre brand in the UK. has seen many changes. However, when pushed to pick only one he stated; “I would have to say the change in perception towards the brand has been the biggest transformation. Seeing Hankook grow from being seen as budget brand, which very few people had heard of in the early years to achieving the premium brand status that it holds today.” Brett Emerson, UK Sales Director commented; “Ian has enjoyed a long and successful career at Hankook, and he has been influential in getting Hankook to where it is in the UK market. Hankook Tyre would like to thank Ian for his hard work and commitment over the years, and we wish him a happy and healthy retirement.”    Michelin Announce Change to the Group’s Executive Committee Michelin have announced the departure of Claire Dorland Clauzel from the Group’s Executive Committee and her replacement in the form of Adeline Challon-Kemoun at the end of February. Clauzel, a member of the Michelin Group's Executive Committee as well as being Executive Vice President, Brands, Sustainable Development, Communications, Public Affairs and the Michelin Guide, has decided to end her career at Michelin, with effect from March 31, 2018, to pursue an entrepreneurial project. Jean-Dominique Senard, CEO of the Michelin Group said, “We would like to thank Claire Dorland Clauzel for her valuable contribution to the development of the Group's image over the last ten years.” In her place comes Adeline Challon- Kemoun, who graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Société Française d'Analyse Financière, before beginning her Commercial Tyre Business 19
