    IAA PREVIEW
Hankook is presenting several world premieres at this year's IAA for Commercial Vehicles in Hannover from 22nd to 29th September. The premium tyre maker will showcase a tyre made specifically for coaches: the SmartTouring tyre. With the extension of the modern e-cube Blue series for long-haul trucks, a complete tyre line with maximum fuel efficiency will be available. In addition, the new low-line sizes of the popular e-cube MAX series demonstrating Hankook’s low-line segment in its portfolio will also be on show. In a separate outdoor exhibition area, the company will also be highlighting its OE partnerships with MAN and Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
Research and tyre development at Hankook continues to focus on economy and efficiency. The company is expanding its e-cube Blue trailer tyres to include relevant steering and axle profiles. Additionally, they will be presenting a complete solution for all axle
positions in long-haul transport, including A-labels for rolling resistance on all the tyres in the series.
As the low-line segment faces increasing requirements, Hankook is also showcasing new sizes for steering and drive axles. The 45 and 50 series from the e-cube MAX tyre line have been developed especially for use on mega trucks. This allows fleet owners to exploit the maximum inner loading height of three metres without exceeding the maximum permissible overall height of four metres as permitted by legislation.
Furthermore, Hankook has tried to react to the increasing importance of long-distance coach travel through the new SmartTouring tyre. The Hankook “Smart” concept is used in several different tyre series to meet a wide range of requirements. Therefore, the technology meets all the key criteria of the truck and bus tyre segment: in addition to safety, it stands for
high mileage, a particularly anti chip- and cut tyre compound, retreadability and high traction.
Hankook can be found in Hall 14- 15, booth A01 at the 66th IAA for Commercial Vehicles.

Continental Promotes Digital Head-Up Display for Trucks and Buses
At the 66th International Motor Show Commercial Vehicles in Hannover, Continental will showcase its new head-up displays for truck and bus applications under the slogan "Tradition. Trust. Transformation." Nikolai Setzer, member of the Executive Board at Continental, said
vehicles, as drivers receive relevant driving information without having to take their eyes off the traffic. Continental supplies two basic versions of the HUD to vehicle manufacturers. The windshield HUD is specially developed for commercial vehicles in the U.S.A., which have
flatter windshields. By contrast, the combiner HUD uses a transparent disk (combiner) in front of the windshield to reflect the image. This version is suitable for vehicles commonly used in Europe, for example, which have steeply angled windshields.
Dr. Michael Ruf, Head of the Commercial Vehicles &
Aftermarket Business Unit at Continental explained; "we see the head-up display as an important element of future human-machine dialogue for greater safety in commercial vehicles, in which the driver receives advance information about driving manoeuvres planned by the vehicle during automated driving.”
regarding the innovation; “Digitalisation is a tremendous opportunity for the transport industry. It makes innovations such as the head-up display or automated driving possible and ensures greater safety and efficiency on the road.” The head-up displays (HUD) from Continental will promote greater safety and efficiency in commercial

Hankook to Premiere New Products at IAA
at Hannover
“PNEUSCAN ONGROUND” is the new module to be launched by VENTECH Systems, and the system will be presented for the first time to the professional world at the 66th IAA for Commercial Vehicles at Hannover. This floor-mounted system is the latest VENTECH Systems product innovation to enhance the globally tried and tested technology for automatic tyre pressure and tread inspection on private cars, vans, multiple axle trucks and buses. They can be found in hall 24, stand F11 at the fair in Hannover.
“We offer a flexible and, as always, efficient PNEUSCAN variant for quick installation without ground works, only needing a user-own network and power connection,” explains Sales Director, Frank Stratmann, before adding; “The 50 mm high support plate copes with low ground clearance vehicles and heavy load trailers alike and offers the same measuring accuracy as the sunk-in system variant.“
The “On-Ground” system measures tyre pressure and tread within seconds and transmits the data to the display terminal. To this end the
product sensors measure the tyre pressure and tread. The PNEUSCAN DAT and PNEUSCAN ID modules store the measured tyre data and the associated vehicle identifier in a vehicle fleet and tyre management system, with users benefitting from safety and efficiency.
Andreas Pietsch, Technical Director at VENTECH Systems GmbH, says; “The floor-mounted system can be located anywhere, irrespective of the building and property ownership. This makes it fit for leasing and an ideal solution for fleet operators and managers with rented estate.” He also added that, “PNEUSCAN on ground is not only relocatable and reusable but also customisable to end users’ infrastructure.”
During the show, VENTECH will be participating in a Guided Tours programme under the banner of “New Mobility World Logistics” and will be providing “Urban Logistics” presentations in German and English several times a day.
