Marangoni Commercial Tyres Upgrades Website
Marangoni Commercial Tyres has announced that the truck.marangoni.com website has been completely upgraded in terms of contents, so as to offer customers and users a platform of knowledge, updates and information on the company’s truck retread products and the benefits of using Marix retreads. The Marix range is now divided into specific, new segments, the most important of which are presented and
summarised on a chart that clearly and immediately illustrates the correct use and level of performance of the products in that specific group.
The range also comprises the latest pattern made by Marangoni: PD Winter S101, a specialist tread for use in severe winter conditions, roads covered by ice and compact snow, on the drive axles of vehicles that mainly work over long distances.

monthly performance reviews to identify and implement service improvements.
Ryder’s Head of Maintenance Strategy, Philip Martin, said: “We are delighted that this partnership is proving so beneficial for our customers. Ryder is committed to a process of continuous improvement in all areas of the business. We will continue to monitor and measure tyre performance to ensure that we are providing the best, most reliable and cost effective service possible.
“Our ongoing relationship with Bridgestone is helping us to raise industry standards and we look forward to building on this joint collaboration.”
Bridgestone’s fleet manager, Ian Baker, said: “Bridgestone has spent a great
deal of time in developing a more consultative, partnership-based relationship with Ryder and this is where we can see the biggest change in commercial tyre support.
“We provide bespoke training modules for Ryder to share our knowledge at the outset and this is then supplemented by regular dialogue and more formal monthly meetings.
“The word ‘partnership’ is overused in the commercial fleet world but with Ryder this is genuinely the case as we have reduced volume, improved tyre longevity and overall productivity. “We expect this new way of working to underpin our offering in the future, which is a prospect that genuinely excites us.”
Outs by 28%
Tyre-related breakdowns for Ryder customers have fallen by 28% following the introduction by Bridgestone of a range of initiatives aimed at maximising fleet uptime and lowering running costs.
Ryder is Bridgestone’s largest UK commercial fleet customer and the two organisations have been working together for nearly 20 years. The relationship evolved into a strategic

The GT Radial Maxmiler Pro, which is aimed primarily at the growing heavy duty, high speed van market, has proven its credentials in a solid performance review for Leeds City Council.Four 225/65R16C tyres were fitted to a Renault Master mini-bus on February 16th 2014, and during a December 2nd 2014 inspection, between which dates the vehicle had covered 29,456 miles, the tread depths were measured. The near side front read 5/5/6mm, while the off side front, near side rear and off side rear equalled 6/6/6mm.
Andy Smith at Wakefield- based GW Tyres, who organised the performance review,

“The Maxmiler Pro is definitely a very
good tyre, as the mileage and performance results clearly demonstrate.”

Strategies include a major focus on tyre husbandry, increased emphasis on setting correct tyre pressures and a detailed review of removed tyres to avoid premature removal and to ensure that all parties are properly managing the use of tyres throughout their life.
