Transaid, an international development organisation, announced its corporate partnership with Vaculug based on a three-year agreement.
Vaculug and Transaid: Corporate Partnership Agreement
Vaculug has already sponsored Transaid Ambassador Guy Heywood, the Vice President of Hankook Europe, and his fundraising initiatives in recent years, as well as the donation of funds for Transaid’s access to healthcare programmes in Zambia. In February, Heywood and Haarjeev Khandari, Chairman of Vaculug, attended the King’s Humanitarian Reception in recognition of their commitment to Transaid. Held at Buckingham Palace, the event was hosted by The King and Queen, as well as Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, patron of Transaid.
Kandhari commented: “I am so grateful to Guy for the introduction to such an incredible organisation. I am confident that our values are well aligned as organisations, and I look forward to the many opportunities there will be for the Vaculug team to get more involved in Transaid’s life-saving projects in sub-Saharan Africa.”
With a three-year partnership agreement, Vaculug joins 33 corporate partners from across the transport and logistics industry that support Transaid’s projects, people, events and fundraising challenges.
Caroline Barber, Chief Executive of Transaid, said: “The support we receive from our corporate partners is one of the key ingredients in what allows our programmes to be so successful. We are excited for this opportunity to work more closely with the team at Vaculug; they bring a wealth of industry expertise, and we are excited for what we can achieve together.”
