Uniroyal exhibited a wide assortment of options at the Tire Cologne at the end of May as their applications for a variety of vehicles, seasons and conditions were available for visitors to lay their eyes on. Principally of interest for Commercial Tyre Business was their offerings for commercial vehicles and buses.
Uniroyal Showcases Commercial Vehicle Options at The Tire Cologne
The Uniroyal RainMax 3 was the option on show from the summer portfolio, that was present at the trade fair. The RainMax 3 is the new rain tyre from Uniroyal for vans and light commercial vehicles. It features a state-of-the-art tread structure for short braking distances on wet and dry roads, combined with high economy.
The new light commercial vehicle tyre is available in 24 sizes/load indices for 14 to 16-inch rims, and with speed approvals for up to 210 km/h. The load capacity can be as high as 1,250 kg per tyre (LI 116). The product range covers more than 90 percent of European tyre options – from smaller vehicles like the Opel Combo or Fiat Doblo up to larger light commercial vehicles like the Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and VW Crafter.
For winter conditions, the Snow Max 2 was on show from the Uniroyal portfolio, which provides reliable tyre technology for vans in the winter. Its directional V-shaped tread, optimizes the build-up of force in the longitudinal direction, delivering enhanced handling characteristics.
Added to this, the high number of sipes means there are very many ideally positioned edges, making for very good braking performance on snow. The Uniroyal Snow Max 2 is available for 14 to 16-inch rims and with approvals for speeds of up to 190 km/h.
