Pro-Align begins a new phase in its history with a change of ownership following the retirement of two of its founding directors.
New ownership for Pro Align
Established in 1990, husband and wife pairing Paul and Kathryn Beaurain founded Pro-Align alongside Philip Wylie, who will continue as the company’s sole owner, utilising his extensive automotive industry and investment banking experience.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank Paul and Kathryn for the great work they have carried out over the last 30 or so years,” comments Philip Wylie, who will take up the role of executive chairman at Pro-Align. “Anyone who knows them will testify to their passion and unwavering commitment to the Hunter brand and wheel alignment in general here in the UK. I am proud of what we have built together and am incredibly excited about the next phase in the company’s growth.”
Having originally formed as a wheel alignment centre in Northampton, Pro-Align became the exclusive UK distributor for Hunter branded equipment in the UK in 1996. During this time, the Hunter name became synonymous with high-quality equipment and technological innovation, which is coupled with Pro-Align’s reputation for service and support.
As well as being approved and used by most major vehicle manufacturers either in their dealerships or technical facilities, the Hunter equipment supplied by Pro-Align is also widely used within national repair chains, bodyshops, independent and commercial vehicle workshops. Indeed today, Pro-Align has more than 5,000 wheel alignment, tyre changer and wheel balancer installations at more than 4,000 locations around the UK and Ireland.
“Looking ahead, these are incredibly exciting times for all of us at Pro-Align,” continues Wylie. “We will continue to evolve our relationship with Hunter while also developing our structure, expanding our product range and investing in products and services that ensures Pro-Align remains the number one choice of workshops across the UK.”
Under the new ownership, Pro-Align will continue to be managed operationally by experienced CEO Clive Seabrook, who has been at the helm of the business since 2019.
