Trelleborg Pushes to Lead the Agricultural Sector
Trelleborg Tyres, a global leader in agricultural tyres, used Agritechnica 2023 to unveil its newest and most sustainable product, the TM1 ECO POWER tyre, and a broad range of innovative tyre solutions designed to further boost sustainability in agriculture. Following an overview of Trelleborg’s tyre brand journey, as well as market insights and key takeaways from its future strategy with a strong emphasis on sustainability and connectivity by Paolo Pompei, President and CEO at Yokohama TWS.
Gianluca Abbati made the TM1 ECO POWER tyre debut live. The Vice President Technology & Innovation thus set the stage for a new era of tyre technology with Trelleborg’s new and most sustainable tyre. According to Gianluca Abbati said; “Performance comparison tests against premium agricultural tyres show that the TM1 ECO POWER has up to 47 per cent lower rolling resistance, with up to 3 per cent savings in fuel and battery consumption on electric tractors. The innovative tyre design and its self-cleaning properties have proven to provide 26 per cent greater traction on hard soil and 12 per cent extra operator comfort.”.
Tyre technologies of today for farming of tomorrow
Abbati also introduced the latest updates on the Trelleborg ATMS (Adaptive Tyre Management System) which helps customers achieve more sustainable operations with advanced technology. As the agricultural sector is evolving rapidly, passing such technology into farmer’s hands is just one way how Trelleborg tyres supports professionals in their daily business. Thanks to ATMS, farmers receive real-time tyre data for ultimate tractor performance through tyre-mounted sensors that bring smart farming to everyday operations. The ATMS detects the tire’s working conditions including each tyre’s dynamic load, pressure, and temperature. While working, the farmer is constantly informed on how to fully optimise the tractor configuration in each operation through the most appropriate tyre inflation pressure. This allows to optimise the footprint and reduce soil compaction. In addition, the correct tractor ballast and implement set-up improves drivability on the road with greater traction and lower rolling resistance.
New Premium Care Programme
As Trelleborg Tyres is committed to offer more than just advanced tyres, but a complete Trelleborg experience to its customers, Elio Bartoli, President EMEA & Global OEM, announced the launch of the new Trelleborg Premium Care programme in Europe.
