Toyo Tires was front and centre at the UEC Cyclo-Cross European Championships between 6 – 7th November as part of its participation in the upcoming UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup.
Strong Start for UEC Cyclo-Cross European Championship
The European Cyclocross Championships have been organised annually since 2003 by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC) at the beginning of the cyclocross season in November. This year VAM-Berg in Drenthe was the setting for the continental title race, which featured elite men and women and U23 men and women competing over the two-day event.
Managing Director of Toyo Tires, Benelux, Steven Laurijssen said of the event: “We are delighted to link Toyo Tires to these important international races. The positive image that this ever-growing sporting discipline brings with it will also boost our brand awareness in Europe.”
With various broadcasters screening the races, this gave great visibility to Toyo Tires, while the banners, signboards and inflatables helped create a memorable backdrop to the championship.
European Sponsorship Just the Start for Toyo Tires
With recent investments in a new European R&D Center in Düsseldorf, Germany and the start of new production facilities in Serbia, Toyo Tires is planning to expand its influence within the European market. In these challenging times, the current business strategy of Toyo Tires is to expose the brand to new audiences through major top-level competitions, such as the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup.
