Tiresur will open its sixth warehouse with an extension of 20,000m2 and 20 loading bays.
Tiresur will be opening a new Warehouse in Burgos
The tyre distributor is progressing according to plan in the works of its new warehouse located in the capital of Burgos, thus consolidating its distribution model in Spain and Portugal.
Equipped with the latest storage and distribution technologies and a capacity for more than 450,000 tyres of all segments, this new warehouse has become the largest project undertaken by the distributor to date. This first phase, whose foundations will begin in the next few days, will comprise a module of 10,000 square metres at a height of 16 metres and 12 loading bays.
Located in the Villalonquéjar industrial zone in Burgos, this is a geographically strategic enclave that will bring Tiresur closer to its customers on the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe. This was stated by Antonio Mañas, president of the company, at the start of the works: “We are redoubling our commitment to the tyre distribution market and this new warehouse positions us geographically, in terms of service, availability and proximity to our customers as the best option”.
The macro-project is in addition to the current logistics centres that Tiresur already has in Spain (Granada, Getafe, Barcelona and Santiago de Compostela) and which, together with the warehouse in Lisbon, add up to a total storage area of more than 45,000 square metres, which translates into a total volume of available stock of more than 750,000 multi-segment tyres.
The T6, located in Burgos, is presented as the key piece for the reorganisation of distribution at Iberian and European level in favour of the growth that the distributor has set for the coming years.
