Pedro Teixeira will succeed Jon Ander García, who will now focus on his international functions as head of the META & EE Region and head of the Dealer Channel at EMEA level.
Pedro Teixeira will take up his new Position on October 1st
Continental has appointed Pedro Teixeira as its new Managing Director for Spain, a position he will take up on 1st October. With more than 20 years of experience in the company, Teixeira, who until now was the head of the company in Portugal, already has first-hand knowledge of the Spanish market after having managed the Best Drive franchise in the Spanish market. Teixeira succeeds Jon Ander García, who has been linked to Continental for more than 25 years and will continue to carry out his international functions as head of the META & EE Region and head of the Dealer Channel at EMEA level.
Pedro Teixeira joined Continental in 2001 in Sales Portugal, as Head of Controlling and Credit Management. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Truck and CST, before becoming General Manager of Contitrade Spain in 2012, a position he held until 2015. Since then, Teixeira has served as General Market Manager for Continental in Portugal.
He will also continue as General Market Manager for the Portuguese market on an interim basis and will report directly to Tansu Isik, head of Region South and Channel Management Fleet Solutions & OE Trailer Business in both roles. “I am very excited to have been appointed General Manager for Spain in a company where I have had the opportunity to spend most of my career. Spain is a key market for Continental and for the tyre industry, so I take on this challenge with great enthusiasm and with an eye to the future,” says the new General Manager of Continental Spain.
