The latest Mobility Sweden data reported a total of 2,389 new light commercial vehicles registered in January 2025, representing an 11% decline compared to the same period last year. This significant decline is explained by the currently weak construction market. Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Ford were among the most purchased light commercial vehicles in January 2025.
The heavy trucks market recorded a strong start to the year, according to Mobility Sweden, with 404 new registrations, representing a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. Scania, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz were among the most purchased vehicle brands in this category.
The bus market also increased sharply by 222% compared to the same period last year, with 187 new registrations. MAN, Solaris and Mercedes-Benz were among the most purchased buses in January 2025.
