ANFAC, the Spanish trade association representing the interests of vehicle manufacturers in Spain has published that latest vehicle registration figures for the LCV, industrial vehicle and bus sectors.
October Registration Figures Released
In the LCV sector ANFAC reported the registration of 10,404 units in October, marginally down (-0.5%) in comparison to October 2021. However, the accumulative figure for the year showed a 25.6% fall to 97,663 units compared to 2021. 5,216 units were registered in Madrid (+1.8% on October 2021) and 1,008 units in Cataluña (-20.9%).
Despite the overall reductions there was better news in some sub-sectors. 4,996 of the units in October were vans which represents a 22.8% upswing compared to October 2021.
Meanwhile, figures in the Industrial Vehicle sector were more positive, with October figures showing a 7.3% increase year-on-year to 2,582 Units. 540 of the units registered in October were Iveco, 415 Mercedes and 328 Scania. Notable regional figures included 569 units registered in Madrid in October (a fall of 13.4%) and 517 units registered in Andalucia (+9.5%)
Total figures for the year so far were 18,961 Units (+9.9% on 2021).
The Bus sector showed an even more positive outlook with 206 Units registered in October, a 23.4% increase year-on-year. The accumulative figure for the year was 1,996 Units, of which 39 Units were Iveco, 29 were Solaris and 37 Mercedes. This represents a 30.1% growth compared to 2021 figures. 40 Units registered in Madrid in October and 28 in Cataluña ,which was a 86.71% increase on October 2021.
