The MICHELIN REMIX retreading process ® 2 combines low operating costs, improved performance and resource conservation for transport companies.
Expanding the REMIX ® 2
From mid-September, Michelin will be expanding the REMIX ® 2 with new sizes: 315/70 R 22.5 /and 315/80 R 22.5 of the MICHELIN X ® Multi-row. These include the X ® Multi D, X ® Multi HD D and X ® Multi Grip D profiles with a total of 54 possible variations for versatile use.
Tyres made according to the MICHELIN REMIX ® 2 procedures reduce the costs per kilometre by up to 33%, by retreading twice and recutting three times. This increases the tyre mileage by up to 375% compared to the tyres that are not retreated and recut. The REMIX ® 2 tyres have the same standard as the new Michelin tyres in terms of control, grip and traction.
Reducing Emissions
REMIX ® 2 reduces the tyre’s ecological footprint by reducing CO2 emissions by up to 115 kilograms. The recutting and retreading of the REMIX ® 2 uses the same industrial and qualitative processes as REMIX ® in Michelin’s European factories. The reinforced carcasses with Infinicoil technology provide greater stability and reliability. Steel wire in the tyre’s belt increases its strength and ensures an optimised ground contact area over its entire service life. This increases mileage and reduces fuel consumption thanks to lower rolling resistance.
