Michelin and FURGO-TRAYLER have signed a collaboration agreement to implement a system that performs automatic inspections of the condition of tyres, thanks to MICHELIN QuickScan technology.
FURGO-TRAYLER Sign on for Michelin’s Quickscan Technology
MICHELIN QuickScan technology features reduced inspection time and costs, making it possible to automate tyre wear monitoring with magnetic scanners that operate well regardless of the weather, and reliably measure the status of the fleet. All of this helps to facilitate preventive tyre maintenance.
This system also has many other added benefits that allow FURGO-TRAYLER to perform data analysis to reduce inspection time and costs. In addition, it works with all tyre types and brands and with all types of heavy vehicles. Also thanks to the RFID tag, it allows for the identification of each vehicle.
This agreement represents a sustainable alliance, which aims to implement professional management and maintenance services for FURGO-TRAYLER fleet’s tyres. This will guarantee a longer useful life for the tyres and therefore, a lower consumption of tyres will be achieved.
Regarding the signing of this partnership Javier Tejero, head of FURGO-TRAYLER, said, “This type of solution will allow us to prolong the life of the tyres and will contribute to the reduction of our operating costs, increasing the safety conditions in our vehicles. With this, we are also contributing to making the road transport of goods more sustainable and safe. We trust in Michelin’s technology and the involvement of their teams.”
Jorge Prego, director of Michelin Services and Solutions, adds: “We are very proud to sign this agreement with FURGO-TRAYLER, which underlines our commitment to ‘Everything sustainable in 2050’ and with safety as one of our main focus points throughout our history, promoting connected and innovative solutions that allow us to contribute to a sustainable and secure future is right at the forefront of our concerns.”
