New State-Of-The-Art Maxion Wheels Plant Almost Complete
Maxion Wheels announced the $150M USD extension of its global steel truck wheel portfolio to include forged aluminium in 2022 through a joint venture with Maxion’s longtime business partner in Türkiye, Inci Holding. Construction of the new, state-of-the-art, 20,000-square-meter plant in Manisa, Türkiye, is nearing completion, with the installation of the manufacturing equipment progressing as planned.
Mustafa Zaim, President of the Board of Maxion Inci and Maxion Jantas, added, “We are thrilled to see our joint venture with Maxion Wheels prosper even more with the introduction of these forged aluminium wheels. The new plant is a testament to our shared vision and dedication to excellence, underscoring our commitment to delivering superior quality and performance to our customers. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Maxion Wheels to drive the future of the commercial vehicle industry.”
With an initial production capacity of approximately 350,000 forged aluminium wheels annually and the ability to scale to twice that amount in the years after, serial production is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025.
The initial product line will include the most sought-after wheel sizes in three finish levels, meeting the highest standards of durability and appearance.
