vehicles. Furthermore, it can be combined with a frame check module to analyse chassis distortions and may also be used for quick diagnosis of the axle geometry.
Users of the Josam am-aligner can roll the vehicle 180 degrees for automatic run-out, and measurements of toe and camber can be taken in a matter of minutes. By adding two more wheel adapters, two axles can be measured simultaneously with 50% less operating time.
The new machine also features wireless technology for
transmitting data between
sensors and the PC-software. A

Strathclyde Tyres Invests in CAM’s UniSerV
Truck and car tyre retailer Strathclyde Tyres is continuing its rapid expansion in Scotland, boosted by further investment in technology platforms that will enable it to offer local authority contracts a paperless process and streamline its job sheet processing and invoicing, saving considerable admin time and costs.
Following its successful adoption of Cameo, Strathclyde is now set to introduce CAM’s tablet, document management and casing management modules through its commitment to UniSerV.
The UniSerV platform offers a transformational solution for the commercial environment. It includes features such as call logging, customer policy and contract management, and the tablet technology is an effective tool for fitters out in the field completing job and breakdown forms. UniSerV also integrates seamlessly into Cameo enabling systemised updating of stock and near real-time invoicing, making commercial functions speedier, less costly to process and, ultimately, easier and
cheaper to manage.
Debbie Tracey, director of Strathclyde Tyres, says: “Our business has doubled in the last five years so we need our systems to be robust and scalable as we continue to grow. Cameo has served us very effectively since we introduced it in 2010 so it made sound business sense to look at CAM’s solutions for the next phase of our expansion. We’re confident significant cost-time savings will be gained by automating the considerable number of transactions we generate making us more efficient, with minimum effort from the business.”
Mike Allen, managing director at CAM, comments: “The UniSerV application suite will enable Strathclyde Tyres to enhance its customer service even further, especially to local authorities which demand seamless, paperless, hassle-free processes. This latest investment will only serve to bolster its customer satisfaction and lead to continued
growth.”

Following the recent acquisition of TruckCam by the Car-O-Liner Group and its integration into a common division for commercial vehicles in the group, the two companies have combined to produce a brand new product available for truck and bus workshops as well as
tyre service centres.
The new heavy duty wheel alignment system is launched under the Josam brand name and is called Josam cam- aligner. The new machine features camera technology with targets and sensors operating with the vehicle’s centre line as reference and is a modular system that can measure all wheel angles in extensive configurations and align the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) of various
