Rebrand for Bandvulc

Hankook Mourns the Death of Barrie Horrocks

Hankook Tyre UK have announced the death of their UK Sales Director Barrie Horrocks, who sadly passed away on Wednesday 19th February following his battle with cancer. Barrie forged a long-standing career in the tyre industry that spanned more than 26 years including 12 years’ service with the Hankook Tyre UK sales team. Barrie first joined Hankook Tyre UKinJuly2002asaUK Commercial Sales Manager and was promoted to the UK Sales Director in January 2011. Speaking of the sad news, Tony Lee, Managing Director, commented “We are all truly saddened by the loss of Barrie and offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife Sharon and his family. Barrie was well recognised and respected for his passion and dedication towards Hankook and its rapid growth in the UK. He shall be greatly missed by all here at Hankook and no doubt the loss felt throughout the
industry.” Dave Thorp, Hankook’s UK TBR Sales Manager commented; “It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Barrie during the years and we are all devastated by this sad news. Barrie’s endless enthusiasm in the workplace saw him become a recognised and respected authority within the company. His knowledge knew no boundaries and I am humbled to have learnt so much from Barrie during the years. I can confidently speak on behalf of the entire team here when I say that we classed him not only as a work colleague but as a friend whom we shall miss dearly.”

MWSD Appoint New Business and Marketing Co-Ordinator
Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) has appointed Kim Blissett to the role of Business and Marketing Coordinator, with a brief to raise the profile of the company’s key industry campaigns with customers.
Reporting to Managing Director John Ellis, she will be tasked with keeping truck and trailer operators abreast of wheel safety activity in the UK and Europe, as well as promoting the Chevron stamp which assists operators in choosing quality steel wheel products while aiding traceability.
In addition she will be responsible for organising
meetings for field sales agents and ensuring all relevant product and campaign literature is available for marketing purposes. Kim has previously worked for MWSD in both marketing and database capacities prior to taking the new position on a full- time basis.
