With 2021 being an important strategic year for Linglong Tire, the company has announced an extension to its truck and bus radial (TBR) range with six major series – long-distance, regional, mixed road, mine, snow tyres and bus and coach fitments to be combined under the Hubtrac brand.
Linglong Planning Ahead
Linglong is a company growing exponentially. In 2021 alone Linglong announced plans to invest in a tyre manufacturing facility in Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, China, with a predicted output of 15.2 million radial tyres and 500,000 retreads. As part of the company’s growth strategy, the plan is to have 7 production bases in China and 5 overseas.
Currently, the team has fulfilled the domestic production target, with the seventh site selected for Lujiang County Hefei City, Anhui Province, China. being the seventh. Linglong also has two factories abroad, in Thailand and Serbia.
In terms of tyres, the Hubtrac range is being earmarked for the European market. The Hubtrac range has a newly designed pattern, which the company says has received praise from drivers in Europe, North America, the Middle East and as far afield as South America. The new tyres were launched in October and the sales have already surpassed 200 stock-keeping units (SKUs), which the company hopes to increase when its Serbian factory opens operations in the first quarter of 2022.
Linglong Ready to Expand OTR Range Step-by-Step
Linglong Tire is gearing up to extend its range of OTR tyres to include agricultural and industrial tyres. The Hubtrac OTR range will be offered for the global market and will be suitable for dump trucks, loaders, desert tyres, underground tyres, high-speed cranes and snow tyres.
In total, 12 SKUs will be introduced by Linglong, with the company continuing to update and improve new products according to the customer needs. Linglong predicts that they will have access to nearly 100,000 sales outlets for the new tyres, and this extends to over 800 distributors and 7,000 branded stores, so it’s very much a case of ‘watch this space’ as Linglong continues its expansion into the already diverse and competitive European market.
