July’s registration figures for the light commercial vehicle market in France have been published by the Comité des Constructeurs Français d’Automobiles (the automotive manufacturer’s association for France) as the market continued to operate at lower levels than 2021.
Latest Registration Figures Published
The Comité des Constructeurs Français d’Automobiles reported that July 2022 saw 24,604 LCVs (light commercial vehicles weighing less than 5.1 tonnes) registered in France, representing a drop of 24.01%.
As far as the year-to-date performance is concerned, the monthly registration figures have been an extension of the previous 6 months in 2022 with a total of 208,302 LCVs registered which signifies a 24.35% drop on 2021’s benchmark.
The significant drops in the market will not be good news for tyre manufacturers with OEM agreements with leading manufacturers such as the Renault Group and Stellantis in France, who will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes in the second half of the year.
