Suitable for all weathers, Continental’s new ContiRV20 All Season tyre will help keep airport ground handling vehicles on the move.
ContriRV20 All Season Tyre Keeps Ground Operations Moving
To handle logistics on the ground at airports, Continental has released its new ContriRV20 All Season tyre. With aircrafts loaded and unloaded and baggage transporters bringing and collecting the passengers’ luggage, the tyre helps ensure smooth airport operations. As numerous ground operation vehicles are also continually in use at airports, the tyre was developed to maintain smooth operations, including in snow and slush, as the tyre comes for the M+S (Mud and Snow) accreditation.
The tyre is produced in Continental’s production site for Industrial Material Handling tires in Otrokovice, Czech Republic, with 16‘‘ and 16.5‘‘ sizes available. Having an all-year-round tyre can help save fleet operators time and costs.
The new tyre’s tread pattern ensures high ground contact and heightened traction across the seasons. Matthias-Stephan Müller, product line manager of Material Handling at Continental Commercial Specialty Tires, said of the industrial tyre: “This tyre is particularly suitable for ground operation fleets within the airport environment, such as smaller tow tractors and baggage loaders. We are pleased to be able to offer the ContiRV20 All Season tyre to the market.“
Müller also concluded of the tyre’s three rib tread with multiple sipes design, “The high quantity of interlocked tread blocks increases the traction and improves the braking performance in both summer and winter conditions. Angled pocket sipes are not only used for optimum traction performance but also provide the best possible steering capabilities.”
