Tractor registrations in the UK continued to build on the positive momentum from October 2022 which saw a 25.3% increase year-on-year with further growth in November.
2022 Tractor Registrations on Target to Overhaul 2021
According to the latest registrations for agricultural tractors over 50 BHP from the AEA, 728 units were recorded in November, which represented a 34.1% jump on last year’s benchmark. This growth saw 2022 close the gap yet further on 2021’s total registrations. However according to the Agricultural Engineer’s Association the year-to-date statistics still trail 2021 at the same stage. That being said with the growth seen over the last few months, 2022 could still overhaul 2021’s final tally.
As of today, total registrations for tractors stand at 10,951 units which is 1.6% behind the year-to-date figures at the end of November 2021 and is on target to go past the record set in 2021. It is worth noting that the year-to-date registrations are currently just above 14% higher than the figures seen at the end of November 2020 as well when the pandemic was still significantly impacting the market.
