With a new warehouse, new stock-keeping units (SKUs) and more space for the AGRI STAR II, Kirkby Tyres, who started exporting Alliance tyres in 1967, will help extend Yokohama’s presence in the UK.
Yokohama Cements Kirkby Tyres Partnership
With an impressive warehouse in Dublin, Kirkby Tyres has taken the next step in being Yokohoma Off-Highway Tire’ (YOHT) Alliance brand partner.
Kirkby Tyres significantly contributes to the solid reputation and market presence of Alliance tyres, including the Agri Star II and the 372 Agriflex VF. The 372 is the flagship tyre in Very High Flexion (VF) technology in the UK and Ireland.
During a recent visit to the new venue, both Angelo Noronha, YOHT President Europe and Ole Baek, Head of Sales for Northern Europe at YOHT attended. At the event, there was a discussion about market developments and new communication measures with Michael Rosenthal, Marketing Director of Kirkby Tyres. The company is the largest and most comprehensive distributor of off-highway tyres and wheel solutions in the UK and Ireland.
“We are enormously pleased with almost five and a half decades of fruitful co-operation in the highly competitive market in the UK and Ireland. Kirkby Tyres ensure that tyres such as the Alliance 372 VF and the Agri Star II are well known to farmers and contractors. The new warehouse will further boost numbers of SKUs and depth of stock whilst providing more space for the Agri Star II to meet the high demand for this unique tyre that we are facing”, says Ole Baek, and he adds: “We also highly appreciate the innovative communication of Kirkby Tyres as co-operating with popular YouTube influencers Adrian in Ireland (iFarm WeFarm) and Tom Pemberton in the UK (Tom Pemberton Farm Life), which has helped to skyrocket the presence of the Agri Star II in farmers’ minds.”
Kirkby Tyres and Yokohama Ready for LAMMA 2022
Michael Rosenthal, Marketing Director of Kirkby Tyres, is equally pleased with the long-standing and exclusive distribution partnership. For Rosenthal, providing dealers and customers with Alliance tyres means offering high quality and excellent value for money. “We like spreading quality news to our customers. We are currently preparing our stand at LAMMA 2022 in Hall 9 which will take place in Birmingham on 11th and 12th January 2022. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the UK’s leading farm machinery show, we will have five Alliance tyres on display. In addition to the Alliance 590, the Alliance 585, the Alliance 389 VF and the Alliance 372 VF, we will surely also showcase the new star on the fields, the Alliance Agri Star II.”
For Michael Rosenthal, presenting the new warehouse to Angelo Noronha and Ole Baek provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the company’s dedication to serving its customers. “We invested over EUR 3.5 million and chose a strategic location with access to the major arterial routes. This puts us in the comfortable position to serve our customers in all geographical areas in the island of Ireland, with markedly extended stock,” Rosenthal concludes.
