John Deere tractors are now available with Continental’s TractorMaster and VF TractorMaster tyres.
TractorMaster Growing in Stature in the Agricultural Sector
John Deere is approving Continental’s TractorMaster and VF TractorMaster tyres for its 6M and 6R tractors ranging from 90-300 in horsepower, which is a big boost to Continental. Available from November 2021, the range includes tyre widths up to 800 millimetres, rim diameters up to 46 inches and tyre diameters up to 2.05 metres. Continental has supplied John Deere with its Tractor70 and Tractor85 tyres since 2019. However, from November customers can specify all John Deere 6M and 6R series models with Continental TractorMaster tyres, approved ex works.
The tyres are manufactured at a purpose-built agricultural tyre production facility in Lousado, Portugal. The facility also includes a research and development centre, dedicated to driving the efficiencies of agricultural tyres. The tyres are sturdy due to their d.fine lug surface area, coupled with N.flex technology, which is a patented nylon layer. The layer makes the tyre more flexible and helps extend the tyre life. N.flex also helps the tyre withstand impact without losing its original shape, which enables the tyre to adapt to uneven ground more effectively.
Continental Happy with Growing Confidence in TractorMaster Series
“With the TractorMaster, John Deere is expanding its tyre portfolio with a test winner which stands for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in agriculture,” says Continental agricultural tyre specialist, Richard Hutchins.
This was shown in 2019 when the TractorMaster tyre won a German Agricultural Society (DLG) test. Mr Hutchins continues: “We are delighted that John Deere is expanding its Continental tyre range because it highlights our growth ambitions for the agricultural sector.”
