Bridgestone’s high load-bearing capacity and robust VX tractor tyres have caught the eye of Jochen Welz from Müller Forst- and Landschaftspflege GmbH.
A Durable Tyre on Difficult Road Terrains
Consistent durability is a key benchmark for Müller Forst- and Landschaftspflege, with the company working to implement its municipal services – from mowing on steep slopes, clearance cutting to trench maintenance at the highest level, in challenging timeframes. As their workload is demanding, the tyres the group use must meet demanding standards.
Jochen Welz, Managing Director of Müller Forst- and Landschaftspflege explains why the Bridgestone VX-Tractor was exactly what he was looking for. “When it comes to felling trees, clearing and mulching ditches and greenery along the road, our services present machines and tyres with diverse challenges. We work in a working radius of 120 kilometres around our company location, so our machines have to cope with a high proportion of transport, as for the most part, tarred roads are used. High mileage is, therefore, a basic criterion for buying tyres.”
Welz also adds, “In addition, there are the high axle loads, especially on the front axle due to our boom mulchers and front loader work. We need a high level of robustness to prevent mechanical injuries. The demands are high – and that is why we were all the happier to be able to equip our new machines with Bridgestone VX tractors, which offers us these advantages.”
The VX Tractor Tyre Passes the Load-Bearing Capacity Test
The Fendt 516 and 313 Vario are new to Müller Forst- and Landschaftspflege’s range, so the VH-Tractor was specially mounted on both machines as required – a demanding task as the tractor clocks over 1,200 hours annually.
“Our 516 will be used specifically for simple road rehabilitation and front loader work, which is why the front wheels have been equipped with reinforced rims. Therefore we need a high load-bearing capacity, which the VX Tractor can offer,” notes, contentedly. “Mulch and clearance profile cutting work is on the program for the 313 and falling wood can lead to mechanical damage, which is why we rely on the robustness of Bridgestone’s tough tyres.”
Explaining that it was the company’s Fendt dealer who suggested the Bridgestone VX tractors. Bridgestone has been working in the agriculture tyre market since 2014, with a focus on productivity, efficiency and the simultaneous reduction in soil compaction, coupled with improving higher wear resistance, which is a staple element in the industry. Welz notes that the recommendation has paid off with the new tyre paving the way in Müller Forst- and Landschaftspflege’s operations.
