Michelin has added 7 new references to the Michelin X Multi Range, intended for truck and semi-trailer equipment. Characterised by its versatility, duration, safety and load capacity, Michelin X Multi also reduces fleet costs and environmental impact.
Michelin Expands its MICHELIN X MULTI Tyre Range
Michelin has expanded its MICHELIN X MULTI tyre range, intended for equipping trucks and semi-trailers in the segment for multipurpose use for regional transport, with the highest selling in the peninsula market: the 315/80 R 22.5 MICHELIN X MULTI Z & D, as well as with a specific product adapted to extra loads with size 385/65 R 22.5 MICHELIN X MULTI HLZ & HLD. The update also extends to dimensions that equip trucks of lower tonnage and with less sales volume in the market with the size 305/70 R 22.5 MICHELIN X Multi HLZ and D, as well as the size 11 R 22.5 MICHELIN X MULTI Z2.
All of these new references benefit from the latest technologies developed by the brand, with increased load capacity, duration, safety and reduced environmental impact.
MICHELIN 315/80 R 22.5 X MULTI Z and D: for the Lowest Cost per Kilometre
Already available in the market with size 315/70 R 22.5, the MICHELIN X MULTI range has added a new size: 315/80 R 22.5, which has the highest market demand in the regional multipurpose segment. The MICHELIN 315/80 R 22.5 X MULTI Z for the steer axle offers a 15% increase in potential mileage performance compared to the predecessor range. The MICHELIN 315/80 R 22.5 X MULTI D tyre is designed for the drive axle, offering a 10% durability boost compared to its predecessor.
In both cases, Michelin has incorporated the latest brand-patented technologies such as REGENION, FORCION, POWERCOIL, DURACOIL and INFINICOIL.
MICHELIN 385/65 R 22.5 X MULTI HLZ and HLT: Increased Load Capacity – Up to 10 Tonnes per Axle
Designed specifically to equip tractor heads and trailer axles that need an extra load capacity, such as trucks equipped with cranes, transporting wood, container shipping or bulk transport of solid materials , Michelin proposes:
- The MICHELIN 385/65 R 22.5 X MULTI HLZ steering axle tyre supports up to 10 tonnes per axle and offers a 30% increased durability compared to the previous range.
- A trailer axle version, the MICHELIN 385/65 R 22.5 X MULTI HLT, also supports 10 tonnes per axle, which is one tonne more than a standard version. The technologies used in this design increase its mileage performance by 25%.
Both models are distinguished by the acronym HL, an acronym for High Load (high load capacity) and use the REGENION, INFINICOIL, DURACOIL and POWERCOIL technologies.
Performance, safety, mobility and environmental protection throughout the tyre lifecycle
The entire MICHELIN X MULTI range benefits from the 3PMSF label, which guarantees a high grip level for all weather conditions. Even with only 2mm of sculpture tread depth, MICHELIN X MULTI tyres still achieve 3PMSF certification.
In order to adhere to the Michelin Group’s “All Sustainable” approach, the MICHELIN X MULTI range can be recreated and retreaded to optimise company costs and minimise environmental impact, by reducing the consumption of natural resources and the carbon footprint.
