Nokian Tyres and Vianor announced recently that they are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and are taking appropriate measures for their employees, business operations and customers.
Nokian Planning for Covid-19
In a communication issued on their website by Jukka Rikkinen, Head of Global Security for Nokian Tyres, he stated, “our priority is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our people and to minimise the impact to the customers.”
Nokian Tyres is closely tracking updates from global health organisations and following the guidelines issued by local governments in all areas and are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their employees. As an additional precaution, the company has temporarily suspended international business travel.
The company has issued self-quarantine rules to staff and associates traveling internationally on high outbreak areas. We have requested our personnel to also reconsider all traveling and to work from home for two weeks if having traveled in countries that are listed as outbreak areas or potential outbreak areas. All travelers, business or leisure, are expected to contact their superior as well as the occupational health care before they return to their posts in the office.
Nokian Tyres has also stated that their raw material supply chain has not impacted by the corona outbreak. As a result though, the company has taken extra risk management measures to mitigate the risk in the supply chain.
