Pembrey and Brands Hatch to Complete Season’s BTRC Calendar
Going into the penultimate round of the 2021 British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) second and trailing by only one point, Gibson has secured the highest points tally at Snetterton.
With an impressive 254 points from two victories, two third places, a sixth-place finish and two faster laps across five races on the 2.9-mile circuit, Gibson is having a memorable season.
With Gibson’s Giti Tire Motorship partner, Stuart Oliver secured second in race five ensuring a one-two finish. He also came third, fourth place twice and fifth.
Both units race on Giti Race-Tuned v1 global competition truck tyres in size 315/70R22.5 were pushed to the limits across a weekend which stayed mostly dry before the circuit was soaked before and throughout the final race.
Gibson, Giti Tire’s Manager, EU Testing Centre and Motorsport UK, said of the competition: “It’s been another fantastic weekend’s racing, and with two meetings to go I’ll keep pushing as hard as I can, safe in the knowledge that Giti Race-Tuned v1s will keep me on track.”
