The VDA’s monthly sales figures show a sales increase in April, continuing a positive trend in Q1 of 2023
Germany’s VDA Reports Increases in CV sales
Overall CV sales for April stood at 25,534, an increase of 18 per cent on the previous year. This brings the total CV sales in Germany to 114,157 vehicles in the year to date, an increase of 13 per cent over the previous year.
There was growth in all sectors, with the exception of trailers and caravans, which the Germans include in CV sales.
The highest growth was shown in CV up to 2 tons, with a 29 per cent increase but at a low level of 696 vehicles sold. CV over 16 tons recorded a 32 per cent increase in April, with 5,509 vehicles sold.
However the larger sectors remained CV between 2 – 3.5 tons at 17,022 sales a 13 per cent increase on the previous year.
Overall the German CV market appears to be recovering well despite the global economic and political challenges faced by the market.
