Continental will be present at the Solutrans trade fair, at the Lyon Eurexpo, between 16-20th November 2021. At stand B010, in Hall 5, Continental will provide information for fleets on its digital and transport solutions, which will echo the Group’s 4 strategic pillars – sustainable mobility, safety, connectivity and technology.
Continental Gearing up for Sixteenth Solutrans Trade Fair
At the Lyon Eurexpo, Continental are ready to impact its latest information and innovative solutions. Throughout the week, the Group will enjoy the use of 130 metres of space to showcase to fleets how its four major solutions principles will benefit customers.
How Sustainable Mobility and Safety Will Play Core Roles in Continental’s Solutions Presentation
As part of the ecological transition that both the transport industry and Continental are undertaking, this is a core tenet of the manufacturer’s strategy. Continental will present to Solutrans visitors its range of lightweight suspensions for Euro 6 models, which reduce fuel consumption. Continental will also present its innovative range of tyres that focus on safety, reduced CO2 emissions and compliance with new European regulations. There will also be a focus on Continental’s ContiLifeCycle concept, which is the company’s major retreading tyre initiative.
Safety will also be a key focus, with Continental’s Vision 0 in focus – no injuries, nor accidents. ProViu, a special device able to project a 360-degree vision around the vehicle, as well as RightViu, a cornering assistance radar system, that detects pedestrians or cyclists who are in the blind spot of the vehicle will be Continental’s big developments on display. The combination of tyre technology and digital management will help vehicles in real-time have optimised life cycles and provide better safety for both the driver, as well as the vehicles’ loads.
Connectivity and Technology the Third and Fourth Tenets for Continental at Solutrans
Continental has been heavily involved in looking for connected mobility solutions for a long time. For this reason, Continental through its VDO brand will present its TIS-Web fleet management platform as well as the new DTCO 4.0e tachograph, making it possible to meet the obligations of Mobility Package I.
The new EasyTrack mixed fleet management solution integrates a sensor and a web platform for reporting and analysing data, which is adapted for different uses to ensure it matches the needs and specifics of mixed fleets. This helps support carriers in their daily lives by offering them tailor-made digital solutions to help them optimise their development and guarantee the safety of their teams. As part of the Group’s commitment to safety, the ContiConnect solution will be presented during a live demonstration at the show.
Rounding off the different elements, Continental will present its multimedia offer, as well as its breathalysers and fleet management tools as part of its technological solutions. Technical apparatus, including lightened suspensions and a range of air suspension systems will also be presented under the ContiTech, Phoenix and Prime-Ride brands as well as drive belts for heavy goods vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
As for the tyres, the entire truck range will be present on a Tyre Wall with all the tyre profiles in 3D meeting the different uses of users, freight transport, plus travellers needs, without forgetting the construction elements, or specific winter novelties, in what looks to be a grand return for Solutrans post-Covid-19.
