According to the latest data from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), commercial vehicle registrations in Germany slightly increased in December 2024.

According to VDA, commercial vehicle registrations in Germany increased by 8% in December 2024, with a total of 29,016 units registered. From January 2024 to December 2024, there was a total of 374,700 registrations, representing a 4% increase compared to 2023.
Light commercial vehicle (LCV) registrations increased by 13%, with a total of 24,218 registrations in December 2024. From January 2024 to December 2024, the number of LCV registrations increased by 9%, with 288,811 registrations.
Heavy truck registrations declined by 16%, with 3,034 units registered in December 2024. The number declined by 13% from January 2024 to December 2024, with 60,213 units registered.
Bus registrations significantly declined in December 2024, with 390 registrations, 36% less than in December 2023. From January 2024 to December 2024, there were a total of 5,382 bus registrations, representing a 2% decline.
