The agricultural tyre sector has provided Bridgestone with one of its biggest success stories of the year, but plans are already in place for further growth in 2023
Bridgestone Planting Seeds for Growth
While the past 12 months did present challenges in terms of supply, these have diminished through close collaboration through its extended EMIA team, with the VX-TRACTOR range emerging to be a particularly popular product amongst farmers.
The range, which is constructed from robust casings with extra-deep and extra-long lugs, ensures outstanding traction and extremely long wear life; two points which resonated with businesses, many of whom cited the ‘false economy’ of purchasing budget alternatives in comparison in the past.
High-profile presences at some of the UK’s biggest agricultural shows allowed the company to spread such messages, with an increased database of contacts now secured to allow for an even more fruitful 2023.
Bridgestone has already planted the seeds for significant growth, with the introduction of Webfleet Solutions on AG tractors expected, along with the roll-out of the new VF 60Series extension in VT-TRACTOR range. This is coupled with a major unveiling of an all-new VX-R TRACTOR pattern range, with full details to be announced soon.
One of the biggest highlights of the past 12 months has been the increasing number of original equipment fitments, with New Holland and John Deere being just two manufacturers to opt for the brand. This trend will be replicated in 2023, with a continuing drive to build momentum in this area and exciting announcements in the pipeline.
Tom Gerring, newly appointed as Bridgestone’s Commercial AG Regional Manager in another statement of intent, said; “2023 is shaping up to be a very exciting year, with many new products and activities already planned and confirmed.
“We look forward to expanding our Bridgestone Partner Network too, which is a fantastic opportunity for any dealerships looking for a global partner to support them at a local level, that can offer a proven premium product range to their farming customer base, along with strong aftersales support as standard.
“We continued to see strong repeated data from the monitoring of VX-TRACTOR tyre sets, which demonstrate high levels of long life, value for money and truly astounding product reliability in the harsh working environment of the farming world.
“Also, we look forward to working closer with many of the OEM Dealerships around the UK, in order to support them fully in their marketplace.
“I must also say that we are very much appreciative the hardwork put in by our fantastic dealer partners over 2022, whom continue to fully support us on our journey, and we look forward to more positive successes together in 2023.
“Sustainability, the environment and soil health are all now key drivers with the farming community, and its pleasing to see how both our VT-TRACTOR and VX-TRACTOR products address directly many of those concerning issues within farming.”
In its commitment to the realisation of a sustainable society, Bridgestone recently unveiled its E8 company framework.
Both products are an example of how sustainability is a key principle of ours, and underlines Bridgestone’s continued efforts to support the realisation of a sustainable society by providing social and customer value.
The Bridgestone E8 Commitment is at the heart of this and consists of eight focus areas – Energy, Ecology, Efficiency, Extension, Economy, Emotion, Ease and Empowerment – that guide Bridgestone’s strategic priorities, decision-making and actions throughout every area of the business.
