Apollo Tyres marked the 25th anniversary of its Vredestein Traxion+ tyres as they invited members of the press and customers from all over Europe to its factory and R&D center in Enschede in the Netherlands. Additionally, the invitees were treated to a demonstration in the field with the newest Vredestein tyres, the Flotation Optimall and Endurion Trailer being put through their paces.
Traxion Technology Celebrated in Lattrop
In 1997 and the same year Google was founded, Vredestein introduced the Traxion+, which became a revolutionary tyre for the company with its strong divergent pattern compared to the usual tractor tyre patterns of its period. The tyre was introduced in the then increasingly popular and modern 70- and 65- low profile series. Traxion+ was seen as unique offer because of its curved lug shape. The curved lugs guarantee a great road behaviour and low wear combined with high traction in the field due to the lug shape and the self-cleaning properties. This development today is referred to as “the Vredestein Traxion concept” still has a very important role in Apollo Tyres’ current modern tractor tyres.
Since its launch, the Traxion brand and Vredestein has gained the trust of OE partners all over Europe from New Holland to Case to John Deere to Claas and Massey Fergusson to name a few.
During the field demonstration, Apollo Tyres presented all of its tyre products for the agricultural market covering tractor, harvester, agri-loader and implement and trailer applications.
The products presented for the tractor segment were as follows: Traxion Optimall, TraxionXXL, Traxion 65, Traxion 70 and Traxion 85.
To help with any type of harvesting challenge, Apollo Tyres showed off the Traxion Harvest.
For Agri-loaders, attendees saw the Traxion VersaGreen, Traxion Versa and Endurion in action, before the implement and trailer tyres were showcased in the shape of Flotation Trac, Flotation Pro and Flotation+.
