A buoyant January start for tractor sales in the UK fails to continue, according to the AEA

January tractor sales over 50hp saw a 28.8 increase on the previous year, but February followed with a drop, and the recovery in March and April only managed to show a year-to-date increase of 0.6 – 0.7 per cent. A 20.9 per cent drop in May turned that modest year-to-date figure into a 3.1 per cent negative.
Even the January figure, a 28.8 per cent increase, may only have been a correction of the 28.9 per cent drop in December 2023.
