BKT extended its AGRIMAX SPARGO range with new tyres for field spraying, row crops, orchards and vineyards: AGRIMAX SPARGO SB.
Row Crop Tyre
Vineyards and orchards are often difficult to manage due to steep terrain and narrow row spacing, requiring compact and easy-to-handle solutions. BKT offers AGRIMAX SPARGO – a tyre for row crop applications, designed with field productivity and soil protection in mind. It combines the elements of radial agricultural tyres, namely lower fuel consumption and handling, with a wider footprint and traction. Equipped with VF technology, it ensures a constant load by reducing inflation pressure compared to a standard tyre.
BKT has extended its AGRIMAX SPARGO range with the new AGRIMAX SPARGO SB – a tyre for open field spraying, low crops, orchards and vineyards. The tyre features a steel-belted pattern with an increased tread depth and more slender lugs, resulting in an overall more open and taller tread pattern. This provides improved handling and a D-class speed rating (up to 65 km/h). Dual-layer mud ejection system is designed to remove debris from the tread and ensure a quick transition from field to road without accumulating dirt.
“In the case of the AGRIMAX SPARGO SB, we have paid special attention to the casing design by using a strong polyester structure that offers greater strength, flexibility and durability than traditional materials. This choice enables the tyre to handle heavy loads while keeping deformation under control, improving the footprint and thus traction, stability and handling,” said Mr Dilip Vaidya, Sr. President & Director Technology at BKT.
Steel Belts
AGRIMAX SPARGO SB uses steel belts in the structure which provides a stable and precise ride, especially at high speeds allowed by the D-class speed rating. The steel belts improve puncture resistance, protecting the tyre from debris and sharp objects on the road and in the field. The combination with polyester improves internal stress distribution, limiting uneven wear and extending the tread life. The reinforced structure helps the tyre maintain its optimal shape under load, improving rolling efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. The new tyre also comes with a sidewall design that reduces vibration, improving comfort during precision spraying operations.
