According to ANFAC, light commercial vehicle registrations in Spain grew in July 2024. Truck and bus registrations remain stable compared to the same period last year.
Commercial Vehicle Registrations in Spain
In July 2024, Spain had a total of 14,931 light commercial vehicles registered, representing an 18.3% increase compared to July 2023. From January 2024 to July 2024, registrations for this vehicle category grew by 18.4% compared to the same period last year, with a total of 100,355 new registrations. Some of the most purchased vehicle brands include Ford, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Iveco and Renault.
Light industrial vehicle (>3.5 <=6t) registrations decreased by 7.6% in July 2024, with 73 new registrations. However, the number increased by 2.7% between January 2024 and July 2024, totalling 568 new registrations. Iveco, MAN, Mercedes, Fuse and Ford were some of the most purchased light trucks.
Heavy truck (>16t) registrations in Spain decreased by 5.9%, with 2,073 units registered. From January 2024 to July 2024 this number increased by 16.1%, with a total of 15,505 new registrations. Volvo, Mercedes, Renault Trucks, Scania and MAN were some of the brands on the list of the most purchased vehicles in this category.
Bus registrations in Spain increased by 43.6% in July 2024, with 260 new buses registered. From January 2024 to July 2024, bus registrations increased by 29.6%, with a total of 2,594 buses registered. Volvo, Setra, Scania, Ford and MAN were some of the most purchased brands.
