Continental presented its latest innovations in the truck tyre industry at the ADAC Truck Grand Prix 2024 from July 11th to 14th at the Nürburgring.
ADAC Truck Grand Prix
The show took place from July 11th to July 14th and ADAC Mittelrhein organisers reported expecting more than 130,000 visitors. Continental was one of the almost 50 exhibitors with its #ContiEuropeanRoadshow truck. ADAC Truck Grand Prix was also an opportunity for fans to get autographs from professional drivers Katrin “Tinka” Oschmann and Christina Scheib who held an autograph session on Sunday.
Continental also presented its new campaign that will launch this fall. Under the motto “Tireless Performance,” Oschmann, Scheib and the German women’s national football team will be the new faces of Conti Eco tyres. “At first glance, this combination may seem surprising. But tireless performance applies to the football players, Tinka and Christina, as well as to our commercial vehicle tyres,” explains Timo Röbbel, Head of Marketing in the tyre replacement business in Germany at Continental.
The company is a sponsor of the DFB women’s, men’s and U21 national teams. “We are very pleased that such successful players as Alexandra Popp, Klara Bühl, Marina Hegering, Janina Minge, Sjoeke Nüsken, Elisa Senß and Bibiane Schulze Solano are taking part in this new campaign,” says Röbbel. Together with the high-reach truck influencers Oschmann and Scheib, the campaign offers a strong connection to the target groups in the transport and commercial vehicle industry.
New Conti Eco
ADAC Truck Grand Prix visitors had a chance to learn more about Continental’s latest commercial vehicle solutions at its yellow show truck. The #ContiEuropeanRoadshow is making its second stop at Nürburgring after 2023 and 35 countries. In addition to smart tyre and fleet management, this year’s main focus was on the product features of the latest fifth generation of Conti Eco.
Continental’s developers have managed to balance the conflict of objectives between high mileage and optimised rolling resistance with the new Conti Eco. Using these tyres, fleets can save fuel and reduce operating costs as well as CO2 emissions. At the same time, the new Conti Eco is durable and robust and therefore meets the requirements of regional and long-distance transport.
