Mobility Sweden reported a total of 4,647 commercial vehicles (excluding buses) registered in Sweden in June 2024. This number represents a 2% decrease compared to June 2023. However, year-to-date (YTD) data showed 24,825 registrations, a 4.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
Heavy truck registrations decreased by 14.3% in June 2024 in Sweden, with a total of 503 trucks registered. YTD data follows the decreasing trend, with 2,793 registrations, 16.4% less than in 2023. LCV (trucks under 3.5 tonnes) registrations were almost on a par with last June’s standpoint but still came in with a 0.7% decrease. The YTD picture is a bit rosier for this vehicle class with the segment 7.6% up on last year’s registrations
The number of bus registrations in June 2024 in Sweden shows a significant decrease of 63.7%, with 41 buses registered. YTD data also shows a decrease, with 286 buses registered, 29.2% less compared to the same period last year.
