Commercial vehicles over 6 to 16 tonnes (excluding buses) saw a 1% increase in May 2024, with a total of 1,736 vehicles registered. The number of vehicle registrations in this category increased by 6% between January 2024 and May 2024, with a total of 8,483 vehicles registered.
VDA data showed a 15% decline in May 2024 for commercial vehicles over 16 tonnes (excluding buses), with 4,967 vehicle registrations. The period between January 2024 and May 2024 also shows a decline of 4% for vehicles in this category, with a total of 27,972 registrations.
The commercial vehicle market in Germany experienced a 13% decline in bus registrations in May 2024, with 407 buses registered. However, the number increased by 13% for a period between January 2024 and May 2024, compared to last year.
