Wheel manufacturer RONAL broke ground on a new innovation centre at the company’s Forst site in Germany at the end of September.
New Technology Centre for Ronal
RONAL Technologie GmbH will focus on special projects with a wide range of subjects. “We want to develop products and technologies that will allow us to help shape the mobility of tomorrow”, said Yvo Schnarrenberger, CEO of the RONAL GROUP. Areas in which research will be undertaken include the optimisation of materials and product properties and the protection of resources with more efficient and new manufacturing technologies.
“The power to innovate is a crucial factor in the RONAL GROUP‘s success and will ensure that the company remains competitive in the future and able to continue to meet all our customers’ requirements”, he added. The wheel manufacturer is aspiring to work closely with customers, suppliers, universities and the near-by Landau production facility.
The new building of the innovation centre will consist of various project and conference rooms and office space spread over four floors, along with a flexible 1500m2 experimental facility, a lab as well as a metals and electronics workshop. The RONAL GROUP already maintains an administration building and, since 2016, the RONLOG logistics centre in Forst.
It is planned to inaugurate and move into the new RONAL Technologie GmbH building at the end of 2019.
