A crack team of courageous and hardy commandos from CAM has raised over £1,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK by completing the 2022 Tough Mudder 5km Challenge.
CAM Commandos get Tough for Alzheimer’s Charity
The squad of 10 keyboard warriors transformed into amphibious commandos, digging deep to do battle with and overcome the ultimate enemy, MUD.
The treacherous terrain featured 13 enemy areas, notably the famous ‘Mudderhorn’, the exhausting ‘Mud Mile’ and the ominously named ‘Electroshock Therapy’. The specially trained commandos made it through Tough Mudder’s hostile environment to reach the safety of their office chairs.
Chief commando, CAM’s Head of People Chris Allen said, “I’m extremely proud of the team. It was a very hard and mucky day, but we did it, and we’re so delighted to have raised much-needed funds for this very important charity. We’re also very grateful to the CAM board for the ‘Match Me’ promise to staff to match their fundraising and volunteering efforts.”
